We Want Parity!
I started the Stanwell Moor WPOZ Campaign in January 2017, when on the 25th October 2016 Stanwell Moor was not included for what was then the Improved Property Compensation Boundary. I began to seriously research the viability of a campaign, I collected any relevant information, hard facts and proof positive that Stanwell Moor is more impacted than any village set to be compensated. As I set out to prove we are the most blighted village within the Heathrow perimeter and in my opinion, should have been the first village or community to be compensated. I began my own campaign for everyone on our village..

I convinced Kwasi Kwarteng our Westminster MP to get on board. Kwasi is now a strong supporter and I have meetings with him to discuss progress. He said; “Jim you have changed thinking at Heathrow for Stanwell Moor and because of it ‘the borough’ and you’re to be congratulated. I give my support and I will push the message while working with you to achieve your goals for the people of the village you clearly care so much for.”

Cllr Ian Harvey, the Leader of Spelthorne District Council has come out firmly in support of the campaign and Daniel Mouawad the CEO of Spelthorne District Council has become an important ally. Spelthorne Council are currently lobbying for parts of Stanwell to be included and we have regular meetings to discuss updates and further collaboration. The relationship has provided important successes and Spelthorne Council have proven time and again they are completely behind the WPOZ campaign and how they are working hard to improve this borough.
